WHAT TO EXPECT
You won't be able to miss our entrance directly across from Wilson Christian Academy. We have safety team members under the overhang to help with anyone that may need further assistance in parking or finding where to go. As you enter the lobby one of our friendly hospitality greeters will direct you and your family to the right classes or services.
If you come at 10:00 for our service, you will enjoy the beautiful and inspiring special music and congregational music followed by a clear and challenging message from God's Word by Pastor Shakour. Services are typically a little bit over an hour. If you choose to join us at 9:00, you will enjoy our Life Groups, a time to fellowship and learn God's Word with others in your peer group.
Where do I take my children?
Starting with our nurseries, we have special classes for each child's age group. At every service we have safe, clean, staffed nurseries for children ages three and under. For children four and over we have special age appropriate classes where they will learn Bible lessons and memory verses and do special projects to enforce the subject matter. All of these classes are taught by caring, trained teachers that have your child's best interests at heart.
To ensure the safety and security of your child, we have implemented a system called Check-Ins. The parent/guardian of each child must create a profile for their child before they are placed into a classroom. This insures that our volunteers can contact you during the service should the need arise. It also allows us to know about any specific needs of your child regarding allergies.
We have ushers and hospitality greeters that will help you find the appropriate class, so that the process of finding the right class for your little one is as easy as 1-2-3.
What do I wear?
Dress comfortably. We're more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear. God's word says that "man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." God is more interested with our character than our dress, so how can we as the church of God do any different? Many of our members wear their "Sunday best" to show the importance of gathering together to worship God, but we only ask that you be modest and appropriate in what you choose to wear to worship.
What do I bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in both worship and Bible Study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If you don't have a Bible, we'll provide copies for your use. Scripture verses are also often on the screens.
How can I know for sure I'm going to heaven?
Realize that you are a sinner. The Bible says, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Every human has sinned.
Understand that the penalty for sin is spiritual death. The Bible states that "the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) All men die physically, but not all men die spiritually. You can be born again through Jesus Christ and be saved from eternal Hell, a place of "fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8)
Realize that Jesus died to pay our debt of sin. The Bible says that "Christ died for our sins." (I Corinthians 15:3) Jesus paid the entire price for your sin through His death on the cross.
Understand that "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) God freely offers you His gift of eternal life The gift is yours by believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the price of your sin, then rose again three days later and lives in Heaven today.
"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) "Whosoever" means anyone, including you! If you by simple faith will trust in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your soul's salvation, you can be 100% sure that you are going to Heaven. Nothing else will do -- not church membership, not baptism, not confirmation, not communion. The Bible does not say that any of these can save you (Ephesians 2:8-9). Only Jesus can.
Pray a prayer like this, and mean it:
"Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive me for my sin and come into my heart and save me. Thank you for dying on the cross in my place, and rising again, to save me. Amen."
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, then you are Born Again. You are Saved and on your way to Heaven, and there is no way you can go to Hell!
If you accept Christ, we would love to know so we could rejoice with you and give you some information for your ongoing spiritual growth.
